Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information RemarkableSOP (“we”, “us”) collects when you use remarkablesop.com (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to create your essays and run your account:

• Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address from Google. When you sign up with email, we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Essay inputs. The background information, CV text, program and university names, and any instructions you enter so we can draft your essay.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by expressPay, licensed by the Bank of Ghana. Card details are entered on their secure page, never on ours, so we never see or store your card number, PIN or wallet credentials. For Mobile Money we collect the phone number you enter at checkout. We store a record of each purchase (amount, date, and the payment reference).
• Generated essays. We store the essays produced for you so you can access them from “My Essays”.
• Technical data. Basic request data such as IP address and browser type, used for security and rate-limiting. We use browser localStorage to keep your in-progress form and to keep you signed in.

2. How we use your information

• To generate, save, and let you retrieve your essays.
• To take payment for an essay and send you your receipt and access link.
• To provide support and respond to your messages.
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the Service reliable.
• If you opt in, to send occasional emails about scholarships and admissions tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers we share data with

We share the minimum data necessary with the providers that run the Service:

• Supabase — database and authentication (your account, payments and essays).
• Google — “Sign in with Google” (only if you choose it).
• expressPay — payment processing.
• Anthropic — the AI model that drafts your essay. Your essay inputs are sent for generation and are not used by Anthropic to train models.
• Resend — sending transactional and (if you opt in) marketing email.
• Vercel — website hosting.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and applicable data-protection law.

4. Retention

We keep your account data and essays for as long as your account is active. Payment records are kept as long as required for accounting and dispute resolution. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time (see section 6); some records may be retained where the law requires.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our providers’ access controls. Passwords are hashed. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. Email silasobeng08@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will action reasonable requests within 30 days.

7. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.
